A hand-colored lithograph of the starboard view of the frigate built East Indiaman of 1,000 tons that belonged to the Green's Blackwall line. The ship flies a post-1843 Green Blackwall Line house flag and appears to be sailing up the Channel. Green's built her in Blackwall in 1839. The mainsail and cross-jack are furled. Another ship sails behind the 'Vernon' and a steamship is in the far distance in the left. The print is signed by the artist and dated by the artist in the bottom right hand corner of the image.
