Plate 5 of 'Fores's Marine Sketches' depicting the cutter yacht 'Volante' winning the Grand Challenge Cup valued at 200 Guineas on May 14, 1852. The yacht and her crew are greeted by cheering spectators who viewed the race from a steamboat or private rowboats. The bow of the steamboat filled with spectators can be seen on the left side of the print. Scattered along the sides of the foreground spectators in small rowing boats. This was the second RTYC Challenge Cup win for the 'Volante.'
