The crew of HMS 'Phaeton,' depicted in the center, rescued an E. Bartholomew, who had fallen overboard and was unable to swim. Two men from the rowboat attempt to pull Bartholomew into the boat. Commodore Martin of the HMS 'Prince Regent' signaled through flags, "Well done, Phaeton!" HMS 'Arrogant' and HMS 'Prince Regent' is shown to the right and left of the print respectively. In the descriptive text below, the printers note the speed, coordinates, and date of the rescue.
